Gilberto Gaigalas
Gilberto is an electronic engineer and he has 15 years of experience in the Brazilian information technology market. He worked for several top consulting companies, including multinationals like IBM.
His knowledge has been developed throughout his career and at the best national IT training schools, and he is certified as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer – MCSE.
His expertise is focused on network, message & collaboration and security solutions using MS Windows NT 4 Server, MS Windows 2000 Server, Active Directory, MS Exchange 5.5, MS Exchange 2000, MS Proxy and MS ISA Server, TCP/IP & Networking, Trend Micro ScanMail, CheckPoint Firewall One and Cisco Routers.
Implemented several high availability projects in large and complex companies using hardware solutions such as Compaq, Dell, EMC2/Symmetrix.
He has wide experience in coordinating and executing implementation, migration, interoperability, coexistence and operation projects for message & collaboration, networks, high availability and security in medium and large companies, using Microsoft Solutions Framework – MSF.
He has been in charge of network and message & collaboration projects in companies such as Grupo Pão de Açúcar, Aços Villares, Grupo Ultra, BrasilPrev, Banco BBV, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Indústrias Klabin and Manesmann/Bosch RexRoth.
He have been lecturer in Brazilian IT events and has more than four years of experience as instructor for Microsoft Official Curriculum courseware like Windows NT 4, Windows 2000, Exchange 5.5, Exchange 2000, TCP/IP and Networking Design.
At ITGROUP, Gilberto is co-founder and Senior Consultant in charge of message & collaboration, network and security projects, capacity planning and high availability solutions.
